The heart of The Villages of Almaguin is located 275KM North of the Highway 401 interchange in Toronto.  The transition from Highway 400 to Highway 11 ensures safe, efficient, multilane travel to the community.

Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is also 270KM from our doorstep which equates to an approximate 2.5 hour drive along Highways 400 and 11.

Muskoka (Population 58 000)

The District Municipality of Muskoka is home to a collection of municipalities and town centres including Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville.  Huntsville is located 55KM South of the heart of The Villages of Almaguin.  The Muskokas are known world-wide for their quintessential Canadian experiences and access to nature and the outdoors.

The Villages of Almaguin are fortunate to share many of the natural characteristics that people have come to love in the Muskokas, including access to the world renowned Algonquin Park.

North Bay (Population: 51 500)

The City of North Bay lies 70KM North of the heart of The Villages of Almaguin on Highway 11.   With the recent 4 lane expansion of Highway 11, travel between our community and North Bay is faster and safer.

Jack Garland Airport (YYB) is the closest airport to our community which is only a short 1 hour drive to the heart of The Villages of Almaguin along Highway 11. YYB is the largest airport North of Toronto, and offers domestic and limited international flights.

The Greater Sudbury Area (Population: 161 500)

The Greater Sudbury Area is located 200Km from The Villages of Almaguin along Highways 11 and 17.  The Greater Sudbury Area is a mecca for mining activity which between mining, and mining support and services industries provide income for over 16 000 families.

The Greater Sudbury Airport (YSB) provides domestic flights and serves as a vital connection between Northern Ontario and major Canadian markets.

Algonquin Provincial Park (Population: 0)

Just a short 50KM drive from the heart of The Villages of Almaguin lies the back-country entrance to the world-famous Algonquin Park.  Algonquin Park is adored for it’s rugged and untouched Canadian Wilderness.
