Romaine Calm; It’s Almaguin Farmers’ Market Season
Farmers’ market season is in full swing and if you’re new to the area, this guide is your roadmap to shopping all things local produce, artisans and other Almaguin delights.
Are you wondering what to do on a Friday evening in Almaguin? Maybe you're looking for some farmers' market vibes? Well, Sundridge has you covered.
On the beautiful shores of Lake Bernard (the largest freshwater lake without an island!) in Sundridge, you’ll find the Market, Park it. This larger scale farmers’ market experience includes many local vendors and live music from local talent. It typically runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and in our opinion, is a great way to spend an evening.
Rise n’ shine on a Saturday morning and head out to South River for a lovely market experience at the South River Fairgrounds. You can find fresh produce, local artisans and more from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
You know what they say about Sundays? That they are fun days! And what’s more fun than checking out what delightful products you can score at the Armour Township's Sunday Market. Conveniently located at the Township's office lawn from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Alternatively, if you’re looking for a farmers market a little off the beaten path, Midlothian Valley Farm has their fresh organics and other wares on sale Sundays (and sometimes Saturdays) at Midlothian Castle (aka Screaming Heads).
