Canada Day in Almaguin is packed with community celebrations, family fun, live music, great food, and fireworks. Here’s your guide to what’s happening across the region.
1. Sundridge — June 27, 3–11 p.m.
Parade on Main Street at 4 p.m., waterfront ceremonies, BBQ, live music, family activities, local shopping, and fireworks at dusk.
2. South River — June 27, 12–4 p.m.
Parade, BBQ, vendors, live music, kids’ games, water activities, face painting, balloon art, contests, and community fun at Tom Thomson Park.
3. Perry Township (Emsdale) — July 1, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
BBQ, live music, vendors, games, henna, face painting, cornhole tournament, attire contest, and free Canada Day cake at 25 Joseph Street.
4. Kearney — July 1, 1–4 p.m.
Free admission, live music by the Tobin Spring Band, games, bouncy castle, Lions treats, and family fun at Mirror Bay.
5. Burk’s Falls — July 1, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
BBQ, music, games, and family activities at Stan Darling Park, plus fireworks at dusk at Knight Brothers Park.
